Impact Areas
At United Way North Central Florida, our mission is rooted in creating lasting, positive change for our community. We focus our efforts through four key Pillars of Impact—Financial Security, Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, and Community Resiliency. These pillars guide our programs, partnerships, and investments, ensuring we address the most pressing challenges and empower individuals and families to thrive.
Financial Security
Everyone deserves the opportunity to earn a living that can sustain a family and build security for future generations. That’s why we’re partnering to help more adults thrive in a career, live in quality housing and build generational wealth.
Our Focus: Creating a stronger financial future for every generation.
Our Goal: Help ALICE households build financial stability and independence.
Healthy Community
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life. At United Way, we help people overcome barriers to good health by improving access to nutritious food and quality health education and services, including preventative care, mental health support, and more.
Our Focus: Improving health and wellbeing for all.
Our Goal: Improve access to health care services and nutritious foods for ALICE households.
Youth Opportunity
At United Way, we want all kids to soar. So we work with the people who care for them — from families and neighbors, to schools and community agencies — to connect young people with the support they need.
Our Focus: Helping young people realize their full potential.
Our Goal: Expand educational opportunities for youth.
Community Resiliency
United Way believes every community deserves to prosper. We work with our neighbors to build resilient communities that are more connected, supportive and ready to respond to any challenge.
Our Focus: Addressing urgent needs today for a better tomorrow.
Our Goal: Strengthen community preparedeness and bridge the gap between disaster relief and recovery.
